Position Duties:
Oversee daily operations of two production facilities located in Southeastern Michigan and support other company locations as needed Responsible for setting the strategic direction and managing the leadership teams of each operational location Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions Oversee the leadership of labor and production requirements for Production and Warehouse Operations teams for each location Oversee the leadership of scheduling and assignment processes for repair work orders to ensure technician skillsets appropriately match job requirements Works with local site leadership to drive best in class performance from technicians to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical repairs Work directly with local team and quality management to improve processes for triage, evaluation, and quoting of parts requiring repair Works with Sales Department both to resolve customer issues as they arise and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction at all times.
Oversee Customer Service teams to respond promptly and efficiently to customer questions and problem solve issues Determine needs for investment in test fixtures/capabilities expansion, equipment, and supplies Identify areas of improvement and work to continually improve department processes Oversee cross Training of all personnel and Certification training Ensure quality of repairs and standardization of work at each facility and is responsible for making sure established processes are followed at each facility Responsible for the overall maintaining of on-time ship compliance at each facility Accountable for timely completion and quality of shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities at each facility Assures general building maintenance is being completed when needed at each facility Responsible for professional development of team members Demonstrates effective troubleshooting and critical thinking methods Skills /
Qualifications:
Experience managing a production or services oriented team in manufacturing or industrial operations in the robotics and/or electronics repair industry Experience directly managing people, production or repairs for manufacturing or aftermarket services for industrial businesses Experience with creating and using performance metrics to manage a team Experience managing budgets (both revenue and cost) Experience understanding capabilities and skillsets of team members to plan and schedule work effectively Ability to manage tasks for a team such that distribution of work is fair, performance is efficient, and all tasks are completed on time and with high quality Strong understanding of shipping and logistics concepts Experience using ERP or production management software Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts Strong leadership abilitiesInfluences and guides others towards a common purpose Job Type:
